When I was a kid, I spent many summers rehabbing mobile homes in rural areas of Florida with my Uncle Johnny. We worked from sunrise to sundown. Uncle Johnny taught me to drive and the value of hard work during those summers. One summer he told me that someone he thought of as a friend borrowed $100 from him and never paid it back. I thought that would make him mad, but what he told me changed the way I think about money and friendship. He said he wasn't mad because $100 was cheap to find out that he couldn't trust that guy. Uncle Johnny saw the bargain in everything. He died this morning. We grew apart in the last few years. He worried about my salvation and I worried about his health. I really loved that man and have so much appreciation for everything he taught me. Rest In Peace Uncle Johnny.
